Many people view scaffolding hire as an unnecessary cost and look for cheaper alternatives. In reality, safe access at height is one of the most important investments you can make.
When undertaking a DIY project or hiring trades for external work, cutting corners on scaffolding can put yourself, your workers, and others at serious risk of falling from height.
Proper scaffolding creates a strong, stable, and secure working platform at any required height. It should only ever be designed, erected, and dismantled by qualified and experienced scaffolders. All our scaffolds are built using high-quality equipment manufactured to British standards, complete with necessary safety features such as guardrails, toeboards, and bracing.
We provide expert scaffolding solutions for domestic, commercial, heritage, and industrial projects across Chichester and West Sussex. View our full range of scaffolding services, including temporary roofs, access platforms, chimney scaffolds, cantilevers, birdcage and crash decks, and more.
We are repeatedly asked how much does it cost to hire scaffolding? But until we can understand your specific requirements we cannot provide an exact figure. Many aspects are involved when providing a quote and below is just some of the information we need to know to be able to price your project:
We may also need to pop out and visit the site for more complex scaffolds to ensure we have everything covered. You are also welcome to supply images of the area which can speed up the pricing process. However until we have these details it is extremely hard to provide an exact scaffolding hire cost, but our tables below will give you a rough indication of costs.
Below you will find our guide prices for erecting scaffolds around properties, but these are subject to change as no building is the same and not every job will need the same type of structure erected. However, it will give you a good indication of how much you may need to spend to hire scaffolding for your works.
Included in all of our quotes is a 4 week hire period as standard and we are more than happy to negotiate the scaffolding hire period if you feel that 4 weeks is not going to be enough.
It is not a problem, if you think that your project will take longer than anticipated, please let us know straight away and we will provide you with our extra weekly scaffolding hire price once the agreed period has elapsed if we have not done so on our original quotation. If you go over the 4 weeks by a few days we do not usually charge for this.
Generally we charge a fixed percentage which we work out from the total amount of your original price. The percentage depends on the size of the original scaffolds and how many further weeks you feel you need to hire the scaffold from us. 2-10% of the original price is our standard weekly scaffolding hire rate after the 4-week period.
Yes, we can provide you with our scaffolding prices if you supply clear images of the area that you need access to.
Yes, this will be a separate price to any scaffolds you require, but we will be able to provide hire costs for you and include this within our quotation.
Yes, this is an additional cost and we will detail the fee within our quotation.
Please note that we have to apply for the highways licence for insurance purposes.
Most scaffolds are completely different, so we usually price basic access towers as a fixed price but other scaffolds for example, handrail edge protection jobs or scaffolds put up for new builds are easier to calculate with a metre rate due to the length of the structures. It is industry standard to price these types of jobs by the metre.
Unfortunately, this is not something we offer, we provide a full scaffolding hire, erect, and dismantle service.
