Case Studies

The below is based on a standard 2 storey new build project:

  • Once you have contacted our team for a free quotation, we will arrange a site visit and perform a survey of the area to ensure that we meet all health and safety requirements.
  • We will then request the drawings of the new build so we can provide an accurate price.
  • Once our price has been agreed, we will book you in to begin erecting the scaffold at timescales to suit your project:

Start of your project:

  • We will create the 1st lift of scaffolding so you can continue with your brickwick and blockwork. Loading bays will go up progressively with each scaffolding lift. Once the first floor is built, we will create internal crash decks if required.
  • The 2nd scaffold lift is put up when requested by yourselves to continue the build.
  • Next comes the 3rd scaffolding lift so you can access the roof area.
  • Then hop ups/tabletops scaffolds will be erected on the gable ends if required.
  • And finally, any adaptions will be made that are agreed in our quotation but are not always required. These will be carried out as and when requested.
  • Throughout this process we also offer 7-day scaffold inspections.
  • Once you have finished with the scaffolding, we will be back to dismantle at a time to suit you.

We have had the pleasure of working with many different kinds of construction clients and here are just a few listed below:

  • House builders.
  • Construction firms.
  • Domestic clients.
  • Property developers.
  • Councils.
  • Housing associations.

A timber frame scaffold is slightly different to a brickwork and blockwork build, and this is due to the way a timber frame building is constructed, it requires a full scaffold to roof height to be built and then the timber is loaded in, to create the buildings frame. We then work around you to adjust the scaffolds to allow for the brickwork etc.

We provide a full scaffold erection and dismantling service for building sites and one of new build projects but also provide the following as required:

  • Internal birdcages.
  • Brick guards.
  • Loading bay gates.
  • Ladder gates.
  • Debris netting.
  • Foam.
  • Scaff tags.
  • Handover certificates.
  • RAMS.
  • Rubbish chutes.
  • Heras fencing.
  • Acrows.

Please contact us if something you require is not listed above.

There are certain qualifications all scaffolders require before being allowed to work on a building site of any type. All scaffolders and labourers are required to hold an up-to-date CSCS card which confirms that they have passed a CITB health and safety test. All the scaffolders we employ are also qualified with either Part 1, 2 or advanced scaffold tickets. We also provide extensive toolbox talks and full harness training.

This system is where the scaffold is inspected every 7 days or after bad weather or when a modification has been made, and this is to ensure that the structure is still safe to work from. A Scaff tag is used to visibly show the user that the scaffolding has been checked and signed off by a competent person (qualified advanced scaffolder).

A Scaff tag system is not a legal requirement, however the HSE law does require the regular inspection of all structures from where an individual could fall 2 metres or more, and with new build scaffolding being frequently used and because they can be up for long periods of time, this makes inspections a must to ensure it is safe to continue using.
