FAQ's

Yes of course you can, however although they are relatively safe to use, lots of our clients prefer to have a fixed steel scaffold structure as they feel it is a lot safer to work from as trestles are a lot flimsier and can only get you so high.

There are many benefits when it comes to using a traditional scaffolding structure and here are just a few reasons why painters prefer to use them:

  • A scaffold structure is far more steady and secure than other options, and it can also withstand strong winds.
  • It will save you time as with a scaffold you will have the lifts erected at the heights you require so you will not have to keep getting off a ladder to move it as the paint job gets underway.
  • It gives you plenty of room for movement and materials, as each working lift will be a minimum of 5 boards wide so this will give you plenty of room to have your paint and brushes at the ready.
  • There will be no stretching and trying to paint those hard-to-reach areas.
  • Using a traditional scaffold will in fact speed up your painting works, as having a safe working platform gives you the freedom to get the job done, so something that could take several days on a ladder, could literally take a few days off a scaffold.

That is not problem at all, we will build a structure that will safely reach the bottom of your chimney stack and then also build a platform around the perimeter of the chimney to access all 4 sides, if this is needed.

Yes, we will carefully erect an internal scaffold inside your home so you can reach the areas that you need to paint like high ceilings, or stairwells and atriums.

We are more than happy to supply a rope and wheel with our painters’ scaffold, so you can lift your materials and equipment safely.

Yes, if you feel the decorating works will cause dust or debris to escape then it is highly recommended to have this netting fixed to the outside of the structure.

We take on any size scaffold jobs for painting and decorating projects across West Sussex and the surrounding areas.

Not a problem as we have a large team of scaffolders, so our lead times are quick. If you need a decorators’ scaffold in the next day or two, we will always try to facilitate this for you, just let us know when you need your structure, and we will get you booked in as soon as we can.

Our pricing for a painters’ scaffold is not specifically based on how long you have the scaffolding for as we find these projects usually have a quick turnaround and so we normally provide a standard 4-week hire period for scaffolds of this nature, and this is regardless of if you only need the scaffolding for 2 days or 28 days our price will remain the same. However, if you go over this period you may incur extra costs. We quote decorating scaffolds by how many sides of your property need access, by how many lifts are required plus the location.
