Conservatory scaffolds are a specially designed system that bridges over the roof without touching it. Using traditional steel tubes and fittings, we create a strong, independent structure with alloy beams spanning across the conservatory. This allows full access to all areas while keeping your conservatory completely protected.
We would say yes as it is one of the safest ways to gain access over glass conservatories.
Our prices usually start from £300 for a scaffold over a conservatory but no scaffolding requirement is ever the same and a lot of factors need to be taken into consideration before we can supply a fixed price. We would need to know how high the conservatory scaffold needs to go? What type of work you are doing? The size of the property (2, 3 or 4 storey etc)? Your location? Once we have this basic information we will be able to give you a better idea of cost.
They are called aluminium beams or lattice beams in the trade, and they are a very lightweight but robust piece of equipment. They are connected to the scaffolds framework to bridge over conservatories and other obstacles and are used for weight bearing. They come in various sizes which range from 3.1m to 8.1m.
Traditional steel scaffolds are the safest way to ensure that you can work over your conservatory securely. Some people like to use an aluminium tower, but we personally feel they can be too flimsy and dangerous for obtaining safe access over conservatories.
In the extremely rare event that this does happen, please rest assured we will resolve this for you as we are fully insured for any unfortunate events like this. However, all of our skilled scaffolders have many years’ experience of conservatory scaffolding in Chichester and erecting and dismantling safe scaffolds over precarious buildings or glass structures and they take every precaution not to cause any damage.
It is recommended that you do not under any circumstances try to put any weight on to the roof of your conservatory EVER! Whether that be by standing, crawling, or walking. The glass is not designed for this type of weight and you could be at serious risk of falling and injuring yourself on the glass and also damaging the conservatory all together, it is just not worth the risk! You should always call a professional conservatory scaffold erector to build you a safe structure to work from.
Our conservatory scaffolding structures can also be used to span or bridge over any type of building or obstacle that is attached to a property where access is needed above it, for example garages, lean-tos, annex’s, or extensions. If you are unsure if this is the correct scaffold for your job, then please contact us and we will go through the options that best suit you.
Yes we can still bridge this area, as if we are unable to fit our tube easily down the small gap which will act as legs, we may ask if you can obtain permission from your neighbours for us to put the tube the other side of the fence into their garden. We will do this with as little disruption or damage as possible.
